Condolence: Our family is heartbroken to learn that our dear friend Joe has passed away. We will always treasure his trusted, kind and understanding demeanor while guiding us through purchasing our vehicles over the last twenty years from Wedekind Motors. It was always a pleasure to be greeted by a man who always treated you as family. Sharing life events, recipes and gardening tips with Joe will be greatly missed. He was truly a wonderful guy!

Condolence From: James Kennedy
Condolence: Barbara,

I only had the pleasure of knowing Joe for about 2 years, but his impact on my life will last a lifetime. He was one of the most memorable people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my entire life, and one of the most talented salespeople i have ever had the honor of working with in my entire career. I will always miss picking his brain for recipes, and sharing with him my cooking escapades on monday mornings. The store will certainly never be the same without him, as nobody can make us laugh like he did. His witty, sardonic sense of humor is just so unique, it will never be possible to replicate. Young men like me need a resource like him in our life, as his life experience and solid Christian values were priceless, and made him the ultimate mentor.

I will miss all the stories of the trips you and Joe took, the farmer's markets and the deals you and Joe got at Trader Joes. I will miss the home grown garlic he brought in for me fresh from the garden, him letting me chat his ear off about my time in the woods deer hunting, and listening to his input as to what recipes to cook my venison with. I will miss coming in on Monday morning to have him come into my office and ask how my weekend went, and ask to see a picture of my daughter. Or the time i taught him how to use email and print from it so he didnt have to run upstairs to get insurance cards.

You see, at the end of the day, it is the little things that all cultivate into the big picture of a man. Hindsight is not a microscope, it is a big movie screen full of all the small, seemingly inconsequential things that you dont recall until triggered by need or circumstance. If people don't cherish them when you are gone, you didn't affect their life in a substantial manner.

Barbara, i think i can speak for alot of people when i tell you that your husband positively affected almost everyone he came in contact with. His heart was massive, almost too big at times. His love for you was always on display, the way his face lit right up when you called him at work.

He was a one of a kind man and will be sorely missed. They just dont make them like that anymore. I aspire to be half the man he was. Take heart, behind every great man, there is a strong, smart woman looking over him. Every man needs a competent life manager, and for him, that was clearly you Barbara.

I know nothing i say can really help you like time ultimately will, so I will let our Lord and Savior do the talking; "He will wipe every tear from their
eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelations 21:4)
