Condolence From: Lisa
Condolence:
While you may be gone from our sight,
Your spirit lives on indomitably in this world.
It lives in the hearts and memories of the many people who love you,
And in the contented purr of your kitties curled up for a nap.
It lives in the salty, breezy afternoon sunshine,
And in the ocean waves crashing onto Hampton Beach.
It lives in the phases of the waxing and waning moon,
And in the flit of wings as a sparrow pecks at scattered popcorn.
It lives in the rainbows cast by the glint of a crystal sun catcher,
And in the glittering sparkle of a cherished unicorn snow globe.
It lives in the sip of a cold, crisp brew after a long day’s work,
The hearty laughter shared among good company,
And in the crackle of a backyard campfire on a warm summer night.
You may be gone from our sight, but your spirit is all around us.

Condolence From: Cindy (Smith) Lafforthun
Condolence: Laurie, where can I begin with the memories of our lives together? Sitting up in our rooms together with on the walls the many posters of our favorite band or actor; playing our favorite songs and giggling about such silly stuff. Or,riding our bikes around the school’s sidewalks, driveways and into the cemetery. Catching salamanders and pollywogs in your pond; our “Nature Club” when we would explore the ‘wilds’ behind our houses that connected our backyards. How about horseback riding at Whitey’s Stable, or Bert Palmateer’s farm. Then there’s that fateful 18th birthday of your’s at your house when we discovered that Vodka snuck up on ya’ with a vengeance and we never touched again! You were the one I called when there was anything exciting, sad or devastating occurring in my life; you always reassured me saying to ‘give it time’ which gave me some peace of mind and renewed my faith that there really are things beyond our control. You were my Maid of Honor in my Wedding and reassured me that even though it rained all the night before the wedding, that my Dad’s lawn would probably be dry by late morning, and it was. Remembering how Proud you were of Jeff in the young man he became and later you spoke of how good Jeff is with Lisa and Rosa, and how he’d call you to check on you every so often. I still have some of your cards you’d sent me with the lighthouses on them. We both loved the beauty of the Ocean and all it’s creatures, and equally the fascination with the Cosmos with it’s Comets and Asteroids, Eclipses and Blood Moons. Someday we’ll share our love of the Heavens together – until then my Dear Friend, know that I Love you and will remember you forever! “Smitty”

Condolence: After twenty five years I must say good bye to a good friend and nieghbor.I will miss your laugh and smile, and all our little talks to pass away the time on a summer day but most of all I will miss looking up at your window seeing you sitting there keeping watch. Your window is dark my friend but I will keep the thought if you close. I hope your family finds comfort in knowing that you have gone home to a much better place, a place of peace and love. You have given all of your family friends wonderful memories that will carry them through this sorrowful time.

Condolence From: A memory from your Son
Condolence: Reminds me of a very special time in our life...

We used to laugh, we used to cry
We used to bow our heads then, wonder why
And now you're gone, I guess I'll carry on
And make the best of what you've left to me
Left to me, left to me

I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, I need you

And every day, I'd laugh the hours away
Just knowing you were thinking of me
And then it came that I was put to blame
For every story told about me
About me, about me

I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you
I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you

I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you
I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you ...

Condolence: I want to say how sorry I was to read this about Laurie. Growing up in Galway she was one of my parents best friends. We have a lot of childhood memories and she sure was right in the middle of them!! Sorry to Jeff and her siblings. I am positive my dad was waiting in heaven for her when she arrived. RIP ...

Condolence: We have lost a dear, dear friend with Laurie's passing. When we first moved to Galway over 30 years ago Laurie was my first neighbor to become a beloved part of our lives. She was there for us during our most difficult times. She was also funny as could be, we used to laugh so hard we had tears rolling down our cheeks. We enjoyed chat time after work and bonfires on weekends. Christmas day we would always get together for a cup of cheer and a memento of our friendship. One gift she gave me is a plaque that says :Friendship is not one big thing it is a million little things". She was right. Our love to Laurie's amazing family, they are all so close. Love to you my friend, you are an angel. Love, Phil and Mary

Condolence: My love goes out to Laurie's family.I have known you all most of my life.My dear friend has been with me through thick and thin.If i ever needed cheering up Laurie is my go to girl.We would laugh and laugh our day away.If I just needed to talk things out she would sit and listen and not judge, then she would remind me of something funny and I would come back to our world. So Laurie when I go to sleep at night. I pray to the wind that you are safe and well in your place. With hope that my love will carry its way to you my friend and you will then know someone loves your heart for eternity.
