Obituary for Allen Minehardt

Allen Minehardt
Allen L. Minehardt, 69, of Schenectady passed away at Ellis Hospital on Tuesday April 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Oakland, CA, he was the son of the late Gordon and Arlene (Kilmer) Minehardt.

He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Allen was employed doing deliveries for the Times Union newspaper.

Allen was a member of the Free Masons, Scottish Rite, the Shriners and the York Rite. He also attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Schenectady.

Allen is survived by his two children Jon-Alan Minehardt (Katherine) of Clifton Park and Erika M. Quick (Graig) of Rotterdam, also survived by 6 grandchildren Emily Quick, Amanda Quick, Gianna Minehardt, Brendan Quick, Madelyn Quick, and Isabella Minehardt. He is also survived by his ex-wife Carolyn St. John of Princetown.

A Funeral Service for Allen will be held on Tuesday April 11, 2017 at 3PM at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road Schuylerville. Please arrive and meet at the gate at 2:45PM.

Contributions can be made in Allen’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew Street Springfield, MA 01104.
